Vasl - وصل (vasl) in Urdu essentially means ملنا (milna) or ملاقات (mulaaqaat), which translates to "meeting" or "union". It also encompasses the idea of اتحاد (ittihad) or ملاپ (milap), meaning "connection" or "conjunction". This piece visually signifies the act of being united by merging numerous Pakistani forms of textiles, artistry and design, including Ajrak, truck art and Mughal artistry.
